Without volunteers, no Fringe TheatreFest. It's as simple as that.
Fringe is about a whole variety of people and institutions coming together to make something extraordinary happen. And the volunteers are the lifeblood of the whole enterprise.
For the inaugural Fringe we had student volunteers creating and manning the refreshment bar, running the sound for the acoustic cafe and helping with the technical side of things on the main stage. We had volunteers from the broader community acting as stewards, ushers and parking supervisors all co-ordinated by a dynamo of a volunteer front-of house manager.
As the Fringe TheatreFest develops, so will the opportunities for volunteering. As well as help over the course of the Festival we will be looking for help earlier on in the year with publicity - everything from copywriting to distributing and handing out publicity material - and with administrative tasks of various sorts.
If you want to explore being part of the team that puts this Fringe on the map, then please e-mail us at ndfringe@hotmail.com or contact us via the comments form on the contact page.
